SPRL combines the retail expertise and local knowledge of Shearer Property Group (SPG) with The Hill Group, award-winning housebuilders that specialise in unlocking complex regeneration projects like Coventry City Centre South.

Having been working in Coventry for over eight years, SPG is ambitious to create a smart, well-connected city, with a chance to revitalise its centre, future proof its built environment and enable it to respond to the new retail environment.
Coventry – The Precinct
SPG worked with a fund advised by JP Morgan who purchased the long leasehold interest in the Precinct in October 2016.
SPG/JPM worked in collaboration with Coventry City Council to upgrade the Precinct with new public realm, the removal of the ‘elephant’s trunk’, entrance to West Orchards and the removal of the ramp and bridge links to open up the views to Broadgate Square and the Cathedral.
Coventry – Cathedral Lanes
SPG purchased Cathedral Lanes shopping centre from Hammerson Plc in October 2014. Phase 1 opened in September 2015 with pre-lets to Wagamama, Las Iguanas and Cosy Club. Phase 2 completed in 2019 offering a further 6 units to tenants including Bistrot Pierre, Zizzi, The Botanist and Turtle Bay.
