Our ambition is to create a fully accessible mixed-use site; public space will be key to encouraging social interaction and building a stronger sense of community.
We have designed a series of public spaces including:
All of these spaces will be seamlessly connected with new pedestrian walkways which are designed to make optimal use of daylight and sunlight. It will be landscaped to a high standard using sustainable, and where possible locally sourced, similar to those that The Council has used in recent years at Broadgate, Upper Precinct and Market Way. The new pedestrian routes will link with the works currently underway around The Wave.
We have designed a series of public spaces including:
- A new public space around the indoor market
- A series of events and performances spaces between The Pavilion and The Wave
- A courtyard for rest and relaxation within Bull Yard

Materials and design approach
Coventry’s pre-war city centre evolved over centuries and consisted of a series of individual buildings with different architectural styles. This created an authentic, varied streetscape which made use of local materials. We have drawn inspiration from this heritage and are delivering a modern version, using materials such as:

- Stone
- Metal
- Glazing
